Step-by-step pattern instructions

Step 1: Start with Color A

Chain 25, or chain the width you want for your cloth.

Step 2: Work Row 1

Turn the chain and work into the back bumps. Work 1 hdc in the third bump from the hook and in each bump across for 23 stitches if you started with 25 chains.

Step 3: Work Row 2

Ch 1 and turn. Work 1 hdc in the first stitch and in each stitch across. Change to Color B at the end of the row and carry Color A up the side.

Step 4: Work Row 3

Ch 1 and turn. Work 1 sc in the first stitch and in each stitch across. Change back to Color A in the last stitch.

Step 5: Work Row 4

Ch 1 and turn. Work 1 hdc in the first stitch and in each stitch across.

Step 6: Work Row 5

Ch 1 and turn. Work 1 hdc in the first stitch and in each stitch across, changing to Color B in the last stitch.

Step 7: Repeat the stripe sequence

Repeat Rows 3-5 until Row 26, ending with Color A.

Step 8: Finish

Fasten off and weave in the ends securely.
