Beginner Solid Crochet Water Bottle Holder

Materials

• Worsted cotton yarn
• 4.0 mm or 4.5 mm crochet hook
• Stitch marker, yarn needle, scissors
• Reusable bottle for fit checking

Steps

1. Start with 8 single crochet in a magic ring.
2. Increase evenly each round until the circle is slightly smaller than the bottle base.
3. Work one back-loop-only round to turn the base upward.
4. Work half double crochet rounds until the pouch reaches just below the bottle shoulder.
5. Add two rounds of single crochet for a firm top edge.
6. Make a single crochet strap 1.25 to 1.5 inches wide, then attach it securely to opposite sides.
7. Weave in ends and test the bottle fit before final trimming.

Fit Tip

Keep the base snug. A slightly smaller base holds the bottle better after the cotton relaxes with use.
